When Airman Chase married his wife, Teri, he felt confident knowing he had a solid career in the Air Force.
“The Air Force has really been a positive experience for me,” Chase says. “It’s given me a lot of direction in my life.”
At home, while Chase is away on deployments, Teri cares for their two young daughters.
“She’s amazing at making sure everything with the kids is taken care of,” he explains. “She’s very task‑oriented and handles everything so I don’t have to worry.”
After moving to Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, the couple bought their first home—excited, hopeful, and ready to settle in. But they soon discovered several costly issues. The water heater needed replacement, along with urgent plumbing repairs. They were forced to dip into their savings to cover the expenses.
“I was watching our savings dwindle,” Teri says. “And I didn’t have a way to replace it.”
Things worsened when they learned their HVAC system was failing—right as the sweltering Mississippi summer arrived.
“We knew it was old,” Teri admits, “but we didn’t realize just how inefficient it was. Every summer our electric bill went up—this past year it averaged more than a hundred dollars a month higher than the year before.”
Despite the challenges, Chase and Teri leaned on their faith, trusting that God would soon provide a way.
“The path may not be clear to me right now,” Chase says, “but I have faith that we’ll figure out a way to make it work.”
Teri attends a faith‑based military support group in partnership with CBN. One day, Director Megan Brown invited the couple over to share some news. She told them that Helping the Home Front would cover the cost of their plumbing repairs and water heater replacement.
“That’s incredible,” Chase responded. “We’re eternally grateful.”
Then Megan added, “There’s a little bit more to this surprise. We’re also excited to let you know we will replace your entire HVAC system…”
Teri was stunned. “That just doesn’t feel real.”
Chase added, “It’s an immeasurable relief knowing this isn’t something I have to worry about.”

“God always shows up in ways I don’t expect,” Teri says. “I would’ve never expected help like this from CBN.”
Chase agrees. “We’re just immeasurably grateful for the CBN partners who are helping us. It’s a tremendous weight off my shoulders.”
